Editorial Policy

How we source, generate, verify, and publish AI-driven news — transparently.

Last updated: March 12, 2026

1. Editorial Philosophy

AI News Platform is an AI-first publication. Every article is generated by Google Gemini AI based on real headlines from trusted sources. We believe in radical transparency about this fact.

Our editorial philosophy is built on three pillars: transparency about our AI-driven process, accuracy by sourcing from reputable news outlets, and timeliness through continuous automated publishing.

We do not employ human journalists or editors. Our "editorial team" is a software pipeline. This does not diminish our commitment to providing well-structured, informative, and responsibly presented content.

2. Content Sources

All articles are generated from headlines and summaries sourced from:

  • NewsAPI — aggregated headlines from 70,000+ sources across 7 categories
  • BBC News (RSS) — international general news
  • NPR (RSS) — US news and features
  • The Guardian (RSS) — world news
  • TechCrunch (RSS) — technology news
  • NDTV (RSS) — India and South Asia news
  • The New York Times (RSS) — international news
  • Al Jazeera (RSS) — Middle East and global news

Every article links back to its original source. We strongly encourage readers to consult the original reporting for full context.

3. The AI Writing Process

3.1 Headline Analysis

Each collected headline is sent to Google Gemini AI for analysis. The AI determines category, sentiment, key entities (people, companies, locations), impact score, and a one-sentence summary.

3.2 Article Generation

Using the headline, source description, and analysis, Gemini generates a full-length article (typically 400–700 words). The AI is instructed to write in a neutral, journalistic style and to base content strictly on the provided source material.

3.3 Quality Control

Generated articles pass through automated quality checks:

  • Minimum word count and readability scoring
  • Grammar and structural correction
  • Semantic deduplication (articles too similar to existing content are rejected)
  • SEO metadata generation (title, description, keywords, slug)

3.4 Publishing

Articles that pass quality control are automatically published. The pipeline runs on a configurable schedule, typically every 30 minutes.

4. Accuracy & Verification

AI Limitation: AI-generated text can hallucinate — producing plausible-sounding but false information. While we source from reputable outlets to minimise this risk, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. Always verify information from the original source.

We take several steps to maximise accuracy:

  • Headlines are sourced only from established, reputable news outlets
  • The AI is explicitly instructed to write based on provided source material, not fabricate details
  • Every article displays and links to its original source
  • Impact scores help readers gauge the significance of events

Despite these measures, AI-generated content should not be relied upon for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Always consult qualified professionals and primary sources.

5. Corrections Policy

We are committed to correcting significant inaccuracies. If you identify an error:

  1. Use our Contact Form and select "Content Correction" as the subject
  2. Provide the article URL, the specific inaccuracy, and a reference to the correct information
  3. We will review your report within 48 working hours
  4. If the correction is confirmed, we will update the article and note the correction at the bottom

In cases of severe inaccuracy or potential harm, we may unpublish the article entirely while it is reviewed.

6. Categorisation & Classification

Categories are assigned by the Gemini AI model during the analysis phase. The 10 supported categories are:

  • Technology — AI, software, hardware, internet
  • Business — markets, economy, finance, startups
  • Politics — elections, government, diplomacy, geopolitics
  • Health — medicine, disease, wellness, public health
  • Science — research, space, discoveries, biology
  • Entertainment — movies, music, celebrities, culture
  • Sports — games, athletes, tournaments, leagues
  • Environment — climate, nature, energy, sustainability
  • World — international events not covered by other categories
  • General — stories that do not fit a specific category

7. Prohibited Content

Our pipeline is configured to avoid generating content that:

  • Contains hate speech, discrimination, or incitement to violence
  • Promotes illegal activities
  • Contains graphic violence or explicit sexual content
  • Targets private individuals without public interest justification
  • Presents opinion as fact without attribution

If you encounter content that violates these standards, please report it using the "Content Correction" option in our Contact Form.

8. Independence & Advertising

AI News Platform does not currently display advertising. No commercial consideration influences which topics are covered or how stories are framed — all content decisions are made algorithmically based on the news cycle.

If advertising or sponsorship is introduced in the future, it will be clearly labelled and kept strictly separate from editorial content.

9. Editorial Feedback

We welcome feedback on our editorial approach, coverage gaps, or suggestions for new categories and sources. Please use our Contact Form with the subject "General Inquiry" or "Content Correction."

We do not guarantee a personal response to all feedback, but we read and consider every submission when evolving the platform.
